Bush Farm, Native American Pow Wow, 2nd set.

I really had an amazing weekend here, everyone seemed to be floating around on a cloud of peace and happiness. Drums could be heard at all times of the day, not anything heavy, just this beautiful beat in the background, that played in time with your heart beat.

This next set of photos were all taken at the Pow Wow, one of which was on Saturday and the other on Sunday. I made the mistake of asking if they wore different costumes, I was soon put straight, "they are not called costumes but Regalia". And Regalia it is, some very fine pieces of work and I was very pleased to find out that most of the men also make there own, a lot of time and hard work has gone into making these, having made costumes for theatre productions in the past, I can appreciate all the effort.
Photographs could only be taken at certain times, as the Native Americas believe you can capture their soul in a photo, so I found myself asking an awful lot if it was OK to take a photo.
If you have followed my work for a while you will have noticed that I am a lover of black and white Images, so because this was such a colourful display I have duplicated some portraits in both colour and b/w. Maybe you can let me know which you prefer.
